Detroit rapper Obie Trice was arrested in Oakland Country, Michigan on Friday. He was charged with criminal assault on a family member with a gun and contempt of court for violating a protective restraining order. Your bail is $ 16,900.
The rapper, who has been keeping his tone fairly low lately, was an important figure in the early years of Eminem's career. He signed to Shady Records' label Em in 2000, where he released his debut album, Cheers. He also contributed to D12's debut album, Devil's Night, and participated in the soundtrack for Eminem's 8 Mile.
Obie left Shady Records in 2008, launching his own independent label, Black Market Entertainment. Although they broke up nine years ago, Obie has always made it clear that he and Eminem are fine. Obie is still being held in Oakland County, and no updates to date about his arrest have been reported.
