BROKEN HEARTS AND FAIRY TALES
The contrast of Grit & Glamour diminish and depreciate each other. Combined they invite you into a romantic and thrilling endless dark waltz. Were love and pain goes hand in hand. The collection is a gathering of Broken Hearts & Fairytales, focusing on the vulnerability and beauty that lies in both. If you find yourself crazy in love, or dusting off the ashes and igniting a new inner flame after being burnt. This collection shall do perfectly for either life occasion.
ARTIST BIO
James Serino—An edgy yet chic Fashion Designer & Hairstylist from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. In a nutshell, his love for all-things-fashion led him to various cities. First Ottawa, and then Edmonton where he was hired as a visual merchandiser and manager by trendy, well established retail chains. Styling shop displays inspired him to pursue fashion design. He graduated from Montreal’s Academy of Design and Technology, and quickly became recognized for his flare and talent in the city. He began creating custom-made designs for various private clients, and showcased at Montreal Fashion Week in 2007. He then became head designer for a Quebec based fashion brand providing elegant, ready-to-wear garments for men and women. Serino moved to Vancouver creating his first solo fashion line, claiming the relaxed atmosphere allowed him to focus on his signature line of men’s casual garments which he presented in Vancouver, B.C’s Evolution event. Shortly after he showed the same collection to Parisian audiences at Gala International in Paris, France. Serino then took focus on independent and local projects to explore the world of hair design in Toronto. Serino is now ready to expand and showcase his new collection at |FAT| Arts & Fashion Week this April 23rd 2014
