The Young and The Restless' new regime of Josh Griffith and Tony Morina have recently been shaking up the cast of the show. Most notably by bringing back the key characters of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and the return of Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers. Could Mishael Morgan be the next person added to that list?
According to TV Source, the actress has been rehired with the soap. This comes after Morgan and Y&R parted ways last year after not being able to reach an agreement regarding her contract. Her character Hilary and her unborn child were tragically killed after a car accident caused by Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil).
The loyal fans of Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis) then got an unexpected surprise when the actress began airing on The Young and The Restless recently. Her character Hilary has been appearing sporadically in spirit to her grieving husband Devon (Bryton James).
Since Hilary's death, Devon has struggled with his grief and has started having anxiety attacks. Over the last year though, Devon has also found love again with Elena (Brytni Sarpy). The two recently took their friendship to the next level, which led to Devon's visions of his deceased wife. And if the actress is back, does that mean Hilary is back from the dead?
TV Source stated that even though the show would only confirm her appearances in Devon's visions that Morgan could resurface in Genoa City as a completely different character. Whether she comes back as Hilary or a Hilary look-a-like it will certainly come as a shock to Devon.
This could lead to some very interesting potential storylines for all characters involved!
